a team of 35, including dentists, hygienists, dental students, assistants, and others descended upon Leh, Ladakh - I should say ascended!  The elevation is over 10,000 ft above sea level - a few weeks ago to begin the process of acclimation and to set up for a week of dentistry.  Over the next several days, more than 1500 children, women and men were attended and more than 5000 procedures were performed.  In all, it was an excellent adventure.  More details an
 
Ju lay all! In just 2 weeks we will be acclimating to the high elevation of Ladakh and Stok India. Thanks to many donations and much hard work most of our disposible supplies are already on the ground waiting for us. Now it gets very busy as we make sure that all of the necessary equipment is operational and properly packed and prepared for customs.
 
Things are firming up for our May expedition to the Ladakh region of India.  Now to finalize the team, secure visas, instruments and supplies -- including a portable Adec dental unit that will remain in Leh for future expeditions to the region. 
 
Expedition 2012 to the Nubra Valley.  We will be holding a clinic in this building, built to hold a future component of the Lambda School, in Disket.
